…for free!
Finally we decided today to provide a big part of our Plex-XML framework to the community for free. While using this along with your existing CA Plex license you will be able to build Plex web applications without additional costs or run time license fees.
What is included?
You will get…
- all necessary Plex models you need to build a web application with Plex and Plex-XML
- our Securtiy-Model for inheritance with user, group, role, function and multi tenant management
- all JAR files, XSLTs and most of the JavaScripts that you need to build an application
What is not included?
You won’t get…
- add-ons to the framework that are protected by third party licenses. You will need to download, license and link them into Plex-XML by yourself
- source code of some of the JAR files
- some of our add-on Plex models like Document-Management, Activities and Web-Spreadsheets
Support?
Yes, for sure…
- you can get support by using our Plex-XML Wiki
- you can use our tutorial that will be a part of the bundle
- on demand you will be able to sign different kinds of support agreements with us to get more support options, urgent bug fixes, training or manpower
Why?
Because…
- we are using free software all day long and would like to give something back
- we have been asked from several sites if they can use Plex-XML
- we think Plex-XML is a great piece of software and we would like to see it being used in more projects than we can handle by ourselves
When?
- after you drop us a line and let us know that you would like to receive a copy of the free Plex-XML stuff
I’d like to take a good look guys. Keep up the good work.
Lee.
Cool project! I’d like to see more.
Luca.
Hi Guenter, Joerg, Bodo, all…
this can be a big step into web-based software-development with Plex and PleXML for all of the Plex community. Great job, guys.
Will you present this at the CA Usergroup D-A-CH at Mannheim this May ?
Good luck with it. I will supportand assist you, wherever I can.
Axel
You guys did great. I think this could be quite helpful. I have to test it out.
As i said before, good work guys.
I sure would like to receive a copy of the free Plex-XML stuff, who wouldn’t?
Regards from Iceland, Oddi
again…
Great opportunity for all of us. I told it lots of developers (7-8)
and I woner why they didn’t leave a comment here. Maybe they’re waiting for the “startschuss”.
I’m really curious about it. So don’t let us wait too long.
Axel
A short update before the weekend:
Axel will join us next week for a Plex-XML training. This will give us the opportunity for a final test of our community package. If anyone else would like to join us for that training, let’s go
We have now sent out all requested copies. Have fun and let us know what you think.
Thanks
Günter

Hello:
¡Good work! I would like to receive a copy of Plex XML to know more about its possibilities. It seems to be greas. If is convenient, we can open a specific forum for Plex XML in our forums site for 2e and Plex.

Paco Picon
Paco, thank you for your interest in the framework Plex-XML. We would appreciate if a forum about Plex-XML will be created. But please keep in mind that our assistance might be limited if the forum language will be Spanish.
